Product Overview

The Inhibin alpha antibody [R1] is a monoclonal antibody that targets the alpha subunit of Inhibin, a glycoprotein hormone involved in the regulation of the reproductive system, particularly the inhibition of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) production. Inhibin is produced by granulosa cells in the ovaries and Sertoli cells in the testes, and plays an important role in controlling ovarian and testicular function. The [R1] clone is commonly used in immunohistochemistry (IHC) to detect Inhibin alpha expression in tissue samples, especially for identifying gonadal tumors such as granulosa cell tumors and Sertoli-Leydig cell tumors. It is also used in the diagnosis of adrenal and pituitary tumors that exhibit inhibin expression. This antibody is useful in distinguishing gonadal tumors from other neoplasms, providing important diagnostic and prognostic information in pathology.
