Beta-Catenin Antibody – GeneBioSolution The Beta-Catenin Antibody from GeneBioSolution is a high-quality immunohistochemistry (IHC) reagent designed for precise detection of nuclear and cytoplasmic Beta-Catenin expression in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections. Manufactured under ISO 13485-certified conditions, this antibody provides strong signal intensity, excellent specificity, and reproducible performance, making it an essential tool for cancer diagnostics and research. Biological Background Beta-Catenin is a multifunctional protein that plays a dual role in cell–cell adhesion and the Wnt signaling pathway. In normal epithelial cells, it is located at the cell membrane in association with cadherins, maintaining tissue architecture. Aberrant nuclear and/or cytoplasmic accumulation of Beta-Catenin is a hallmark of dysregulated Wnt signaling and is implicated in various cancers, including colorectal carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, medulloblastoma, ovarian tumors, and desmoid-type fibromatosis. Immunohistochemical assessment of Beta-Catenin expression patterns provides valuable diagnostic and prognostic information. Applications Cancer Diagnostics – Detection of aberrant Beta-Catenin localization in colorectal, liver, ovarian, and other tumors Prognostic Studies – Assessing nuclear translocation patterns linked to aggressive tumor behavior Research – Investigating Wnt pathway activation in developmental biology and oncology Differential Diagnosis – Aiding in the distinction between neoplastic and reactive lesions Recommended Use & Protocol Highlights Specimen Type: FFPE human tissue Localization: Nuclear and/or cytoplasmic staining depending on pathology Antigen Retrieval: Heat-Induced Epitope Retrieval (HIER) in citrate buffer (pH 6.0) Detection System: Compatible with polymer-based HRP or AP detection systems Positive Controls: Colorectal carcinoma or desmoid tumor tissue Quality Control & Validation Each batch of Beta-Catenin Antibody undergoes multi-tier validation: Tissue microarray testing across multiple tumor types Sensitivity and specificity analysis in both nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments Independent inter-laboratory performance evaluation Reproducibility checks to ensure consistent staining across runs Ordering Information Product Name: Beta-Catenin Antibody Target Protein: Beta-Catenin Applications: IHC on FFPE tissues Formats: RTU and Concentrated Host: Rabbit Monoclonal or Mouse Monoclonal (specify when ordering) Conjugate: Unconjugated primary antibody
