The CD34 antibody clone [QBEnd/10] is a mouse monoclonal antibody that specifically targets CD34, a transmembrane glycoprotein of approximately 110 kDa that functions as a cell surface marker of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. CD34 is also expressed on vascular endothelial cells and some fibroblasts. The [QBEnd/10] clone is particularly well-suited for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections and is widely used in both research and clinical pathology. It is commonly employed to identify and quantify hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow biopsies, assess angiogenesis by labeling endothelial cells in tumors, and help distinguish vascular tumors such as hemangiomas and angiosarcomas. Due to its strong and specific staining of vascular structures, CD34 [QBEnd/10] is a valuable tool in tumor diagnostics and in evaluating neovascularization in various pathological conditions.
