Cytokeratin 15 (Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Marker); Clone LHK15 is a monoclonal antibody specifically developed to detect Cytokeratin 15, a type I intermediate filament protein expressed in the basal layer of stratified epithelia, including the skin and esophagus. Clone LHK15 shows strong cytoplasmic staining in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections and is particularly valuable in identifying basal epithelial cells and in studying epithelial differentiation. Its expression has been associated with certain squamous cell carcinomas, especially esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, making it a useful marker in diagnostic pathology for distinguishing these tumors from other epithelial malignancies. Additionally, CK15 is often used in combination with other basal cell markers to evaluate stem cell populations and tumor origin. The specificity and reliability of Clone LHK15 make it a valuable tool for both research and clinical applications focused on squamous epithelial biology and cancer diagnostics.
