Product Overview

Clone: BA17

Cytokeratin 19 (KRT19) (Pancreatic Stem Cell Marker); Clone BA17 is a monoclonal antibody specifically developed to detect Cytokeratin 19, a low-molecular-weight type I intermediate filament protein found in simple epithelial cells and a variety of epithelial-derived tumors. As a recognized marker for pancreatic stem and progenitor cells, KRT19 is frequently used in both clinical and research settings to study epithelial differentiation and tumor progression. Clone BA17 provides strong, consistent immunoreactivity in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections, making it highly suitable for immunohistochemical applications. It is widely used in diagnostic pathology to identify carcinomas in organs such as the pancreas, liver, thyroid, and gastrointestinal tract, and is also effective in detecting micrometastases in lymph nodes. The robust performance and high specificity of Clone BA17 make it a valuable tool for distinguishing epithelial malignancies from non-epithelial tumors and for assessing tumors with stem-like characteristics, particularly in pancreatic cancer research and diagnostics.
