The Cytokeratin Acidic (Type I) Monoclonal Antibody [Clone AE-1] is a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to a broad spectrum of low molecular weight (LMW), acidic cytokeratins, including CK10, CK14, CK15, CK16, and CK19. These keratins are predominantly expressed in simple epithelial tissues and their associated carcinomas. Clone AE-1 is widely used in diagnostic pathology to confirm epithelial origin in neoplastic tissue, especially when used in combination with Clone AE-3 (which targets basic cytokeratins), providing nearly complete pan-cytokeratin coverage.
