The Cytokeratin HMW Monoclonal Antibody [Clone 34βE12] is a highly specific mouse monoclonal antibody that recognizes multiple high molecular weight cytokeratins (HMW-CKs), including CK1, CK5, CK10, and CK14. These keratins are expressed in the basal and suprabasal layers of stratified squamous epithelium, as well as in certain epithelial tumors. Clone 34βE12 is widely used in pathology as a diagnostic marker to distinguish prostatic adenocarcinoma (which lacks basal cells) from benign prostatic glands, and to highlight myoepithelial cells in breast tissue. It is also valuable in evaluating squamous differentiation in carcinomas.

This antibody recognizes CK1, CK5, CK10, and CK14. In normal epithelia, it stains stratified epithelia, myoepithelial cells, and basal cells in the prostate gland and bronchi.
