Desmoglein-3 (Squamous Cell Marker)

The Desmoglein-3 (DSG3) Antibody [Clone 5G11] is a mouse monoclonal antibody designed to specifically detect Desmoglein-3, a desmosomal cadherin critical for cell-cell adhesion in stratified squamous epithelia. DSG3 is a key component of desmosomes involved in maintaining the structural integrity and cohesion of epithelial tissues, especially in the basal and suprabasal layers. Clone 5G11 is optimized for immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues, providing clear membranous staining in squamous epithelia and tumors. This antibody is valuable in identifying squamous cell carcinoma and in the diagnosis of pemphigus vulgaris, where DSG3 is a major autoantigen.
