The Erythropoietin (EPO) Antibody [Clone EPO/1368] is a high-affinity mouse monoclonal antibody developed to specifically recognize human erythropoietin (EPO), a glycoprotein hormone essential for red blood cell production. This antibody is validated for use in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues, making it an excellent tool for detecting EPO in both normal physiology and pathological conditions such as tumor-associated erythrocytosis. Clone EPO/1368 offers reliable cytoplasmic staining and is ideal for identifying ectopic EPO production in certain tumors, such as renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and hemangioblastomas, which can lead to secondary polycythemia.
