Product Overview

Factor VIII Related Antigen, also known as von Willebrand factor (vWF), is a glycoprotein produced by endothelial cells and megakaryocytes, playing a critical role in blood coagulation and platelet adhesion. In immunohistochemistry, antibodies against Factor VIII Related Antigen are widely used as endothelial cell markers to identify and assess vascular structures within tissue sections. Detection of this antigen is particularly useful in diagnosing vascular tumors such as hemangiomas and angiosarcomas, as well as in evaluating angiogenesis in various pathological conditions. The antibody demonstrates strong cytoplasmic and membranous staining in endothelial cells, making it a reliable tool for distinguishing vascular origin in neoplastic and non-neoplastic tissues. Its application extends to both research and clinical pathology for the study of vascular biology, tumor vasculature, and coagulation disorders.
