The GFAP Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (Clone GFAP/2076) is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), a key intermediate filament protein expressed in astrocytes and neural stem cells. GFAP is widely used as a reliable marker of astroglial cells in both developmental and pathological studies of the central nervous system. Clone GFAP/2076 provides robust staining in a range of applications, including immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, and Western blotting.
Mouse
Recombinant human GFAP protein fragment (around aa 101-200) (exact sequence is proprietary)
GFAP/2076
IgG1 / Kappa
Human
T98G cells (FACS). Human brain lysate (WB). Brain or Astrocytoma (IHC).
This MAb recognizes a protein of ~50kDa which is identified as Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP).
