Product Overview

Clone: DBA.44

Hairy Cell Leukemia, Clone DBA.44, is a monoclonal antibody that serves as a highly specific immunohistochemical marker for the identification of hairy cell leukemia (HCL), a rare B-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Clone DBA.44 recognizes a surface antigen strongly expressed on hairy cells, allowing for distinct membranous and cytoplasmic staining in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue and bone marrow biopsy specimens. This antibody is particularly valuable for differentiating HCL from other B-cell neoplasms, including marginal zone lymphoma and splenic lymphoma with villous lymphocytes, which may share overlapping morphological features. In addition to its diagnostic utility in HCL, DBA.44 may also label subsets of other lymphoid cells or macrophages in certain reactive or neoplastic conditions, but with a characteristic staining pattern. Its high specificity and reliable performance make Clone DBA.44 a critical tool in hematopathology for confirming the diagnosis of hairy cell leukemia and guiding appropriate clinical management.
