The HER-2 / c-erbB-2 / neu / CD340 Monoclonal Antibody [Clone HRB2/451] is a highly specific mouse monoclonal antibody targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER-2/neu), also known as c-erbB-2 or CD340. HER-2 is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor involved in cell growth and differentiation. Overexpression or gene amplification of HER-2 is frequently observed in breast, gastric, ovarian, and other cancers, and is associated with poor prognosis. Clone HRB2/451 is optimized for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues and is also suitable for other immunoassays.
