LH, alpha (Luteinizing Hormone, alpha subunit) is one of the two glycoprotein subunits that constitute luteinizing hormone (LH), a key hormone involved in the regulation of reproductive function. LH is composed of a common alpha subunit, which is shared with follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), and a unique beta subunit, which confers biological specificity.
