Product Overview

Clone: MA454

MAGE-1 (Melanoma Antigen Gene-1), Clone MA454, is a monoclonal antibody developed to detect the MAGE-1 protein, a member of the cancer/testis antigen family that is normally expressed in germ cells of the testis but aberrantly expressed in various malignancies, including melanoma, lung cancer, breast cancer, and certain sarcomas. Because of its restricted expression in normal tissues and frequent presence in tumors, MAGE-1 has become a significant target for cancer immunotherapy and tumor immunology research. Clone MA454 provides strong nuclear and cytoplasmic staining in MAGE-1–positive tumor cells and is suitable for immunohistochemical analysis on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. This antibody is especially valuable in identifying tumors that may be candidates for MAGE-1–directed immunotherapeutic approaches. Its high specificity makes Clone MA454 a powerful tool in both diagnostic pathology and the development of targeted cancer therapies.
