Product Overview

Clone: 113-1

The Mitochondria antibody, Clone 113-1, is a mouse monoclonal antibody that targets mitochondrial antigens broadly expressed in human cells. It is especially useful as a marker for identifying the dense mitochondrial content characteristic of certain tumor types, including granular cell variants of renal cell carcinomas (RCCs) and specific salivary gland neoplasms. Supplied as a concentrate, this antibody is optimized for immunohistochemical staining on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Clone 113-1 produces strong, distinct cytoplasmic staining with a granular pattern, reflecting the high mitochondrial density within the cells. It serves as a valuable diagnostic aid in confirming the human origin of cells in xenograft studies, distinguishing tumors with granular eosinophilic cytoplasm, and supporting the classification of various neoplasms in both research and clinical pathology settings.
