The MUC2 (Mucin 2) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone MLP/842] is a highly specific antibody that recognizes MUC2, a large secretory glycoprotein and a major component of intestinal mucus. This antibody identifies a ~520 kDa glycoprotein with no cross-reactivity to other mucins such as MUC1, MUC3, or human milk fat globule membranes, ensuring excellent target specificity. MUC2 is abundantly expressed in goblet cells of the small and large intestine and plays a critical role in intestinal barrier protection. The MLP/842 clone is ideal for studying mucin biology, intestinal pathology, and colorectal cancer.
