MUC6 (Mucin 6 / Gastric Mucin)

The MUC6 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone CLH5] is a high-quality antibody that specifically recognizes Mucin 6 (MUC6), a secretory glycoprotein found primarily in the gastric pyloric glands, Brunner’s glands of the duodenum, and parts of the endocervix. MUC6 plays a role in mucosal protection by forming a viscous barrier on epithelial surfaces. This antibody is ideal for identifying gastric glandular-type differentiation and is commonly used in gastrointestinal and pancreatic pathology. It aids in differentiating gastric vs. intestinal phenotypes, especially when used in a panel with MUC5AC, MUC2, and CDX2.
