The Myogenin Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone MGN185) is a highly specific and sensitive marker for skeletal muscle differentiation. Myogenin is a transcription factor of the myogenic regulatory family, essential for terminal muscle cell differentiation. Clone MGN185 is validated for immunohistochemical detection of myogenin in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues, offering excellent nuclear staining with minimal background.

Rh-30 cells. Skeletal muscle or rhabdomyosarcoma.
Anti-myogenin labels the nuclei of myoblasts in developing muscle tissue, and is expressed in tumor cell nuclei of rhabdomyosarcoma and some leiomyosarcomas. Positive nuclear staining may occur in Wilms' tumor.
