p63 antibody [4A4] is a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the p63 protein, a member of the p53 family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of epithelial development, differentiation, and stem cell maintenance. The [4A4] clone recognizes both TAp63 and ΔNp63 isoforms, which are predominantly expressed in the nuclei of basal and progenitor cells in stratified epithelia. This antibody is widely used in immunohistochemistry for identifying squamous cell carcinomas and distinguishing them from other epithelial malignancies, as well as for assessing basal/myoepithelial cells in breast and prostate tissues. Its strong nuclear staining pattern makes it a reliable marker in diagnostic pathology, particularly for tumors of epithelial origin. Due to its specificity and broad clinical relevance, p63 antibody [4A4] is an essential tool in both cancer diagnostics and developmental biology research.
