Thymidylate Synthase

GR245/Rabbit/Monoclonal

The Anti-Thymidylate Synthase (TS) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [Clone GR245] is a highly specific and sensitive tool for detecting thymidylate synthase, a critical enzyme involved in DNA synthesis and repair. Thymidylate synthase catalyzes the conversion of deoxyuridylate (dUMP) to deoxythymidylate (dTMP), which is essential for DNA replication and cell proliferation. TS is a key target in cancer chemotherapy, particularly with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)-based treatments. Overexpression of TS has been associated with resistance to such therapies, making it an important biomarker for prognosis and therapeutic response prediction in colorectal, gastric, and other cancers.
