Fascin is a 55-kd actin-bundling protein that participates in cell movement. Fascin is overexpressed in many human malignancies, and several studies have linked Fascin over-expression to higher metastatic potential. Fascin is a great marker for classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma because it is very effective at staining Reed-Sternberg cells.
