TRPS1 (GR382)

During the development and differentiation of severaltissue types, including as cartilage, bone, kidney, and hairfollicles, it has been discovered that the autosomaldominant genetic disease TRPS1 is a crucial regulator of themesenchymal-to-epithelial transition. TRPS1 is a novelGATA transcriptional factor that was recently discovered. Itis a crucial regulator of normal mammary epithelial cellproliferation and differentiation and may have a role in thedevelopment of breast cancer. According to a recent study, the expression of GATA3 in metaplastic (85% vs. 21%) andnonmetaplastic (86% vs. 51%) triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) was much lower than that of TRPS1, which is highlyexpressed in TNBC. Only ovarian adenocarcinoma, urothelial carcinoma (<2%), and lung squamous cellcarcinoma have TRPS1 expression among non-breasttumours. As a result, it has been discovered that TRPS1 is avery sensitive and specific marker for all forms of breastcancer, but particularly TNBC.
