Tryptase (G3)

Tryptases are a group of proteinases that act similarly to trypsin. They are primarily found in the secretory granules of mast cells and are released into the surrounding area when mast cells are activated.1 There are many suggested roles for tryptases, particularly in relation to inflammation and allergic reactions.1 Fully developed mast cells are distributed in a complex way throughout the body.2 Anti-tryptase serves as a valuable marker for identifying mast cells.
