CD31 / PECAM-1 (Endothelial Cell Marker) is a cell adhesion molecule prominently expressed on endothelial cells and involved in angiogenesis, leukocyte migration, and vascular biology. Clone JC/70A is a concentrated monoclonal antibody that provides high specificity and sensitivity for the detection of CD31 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. It serves as a reliable marker for identifying endothelial cells in various diagnostic and research applications, particularly in the evaluation of vascular tumors and studies of neovascularization.

Anti-CD31 has shown to be highly specific and sensitive for vascular endothelial cells. Staining of nonvascular tumors (excluding hematopoietic neoplasms) is rare. Anti-CD31 reacts with normal, benign, and malignant endothelial cells which make up blood vessel lining.
